I see you want to know more about us, so here's our story.

It all began in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. Like everyone else, my brother (a chef) and I (a food tech grad) were spending way too much time in the kitchen, trying out all sorts of random recipes. Then one day, he baked sourdough… and it was really good. I shared it with friends, and their reaction was basically, “You need to sell this!” So I whipped up a logo, opened an Instagram page, set up a Google Form for orders — and just like that, Naked Bakery was born.

Eventually, my brother moved to Singapore for work. He had to close our retail shop, but he kept the B2B side of things running since it was easier to manage remotely.

In 2024, things just lined up: his baker left right as I left my job as a corporate food scientist. I decided to step in to maintain his operations, and have never looked back since.

For me, bread has always been about more than food. It’s about connection. My brother and I grew up believing that good food brings people together, and that’s exactly what Naked Bakery tries to do — bake honest, delicious bread that people can't help but share with the people they love.

People always ask why we're called Naked Bakery. Honestly, it started as an inside joke: my brother has never liked wearing shirts at home, so he was basically always half-naked. But after choosing it, we realized it meant something more:

We're Naked Bakery because we've got nothing to hide, just damn good bread.
