Mortadella Sub

Schiacciata with mortadella

Layers of rich, savory mortadella tucked between soft, warm Schiacciata —comfort in every bite, like a hug for your taste buds.

Makes 2 pcs from 6 inches Schiaciatta

Ingredients

  • 1 pc Schiacciata 
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Pesto
  • 5 pc Mortadella or more (if you want more !)
  • 1 ball Fresh Mozzarella, sliced

How to make:

  1. Cut Schicciata in half like this:
  2. Brush top of Schiacciata with EVOO (optional)
  3. Air fry for 3-4 mins or until outside is crispy but not burnt
    (if no air fryer, can toast)
  4. Use tongs to hold the bread. Slice in the middle like this:
  5. Spread mayo at the bottom slice, pesto at the top slice.
  6. Put Mortadella, then fresh Mozzarella slices.
